Why Choose Stoeppler Construction?

We have been in business since 2000 and have remodeled hundreds of homes.  We know the classic 1950’s and 1960’s ranch homes well and what obstacles they can present while transforming them into open, modern spaces.  We also have experience remodeling some of the newer homes that have “builder grade” fixtures and floor plans as well as older homes such as 1920’s.

The most important reason to choose us is because we care.  We take great pride and work very hard to keep your project clean, organized and on schedule.  We care about you, your home, your family and your pets.  As grandparents and pet owners, we are well aware of the needs and stress that construction can cause them and you.

We have plenty of references for you to call and can even take you to look at some of the projects we have completed so you can see our work for yourself. Please take a look at some of our past projects.  Hopefully you will consider us when you are ready to start your remodeling project.

ABOUT US

Steve Stoeppler

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I moved to Nashville in 1993.  I was an executive chef at the time and had worked in the restaurant industry for many years.  In 1998, I bought my first rental property that needed some work. I quickly learned that it needed a lot of work. I decided to renovate the house and sell it.  I hired many subcontractors to help with the project and quickly learned that that they don’t always do what they say they will do.  This is when I decided to become a General Contractor.

I opened my company in 2000 and a few years later, I got my electrical license.  I understand that Contractors do not have the best reputation.  They sometimes are thought to be dishonest and take advantage of people.  I was determined to be different.  With the grace of God, I have built my business on integrity, compassion, honesty and customer service.  About 75% of my work comes from referrals.  Besides that, I am going to see you at the grocery store, in line to vote, and may even go out to dinner with a few of you as we become friends.

In October of 2014, I married my soul mate, Sherry Greene, now Sherry Stoeppler.  Sherry has worked with me over the past 10 years to build and strengthen our business. She is one of the main reasons for our success.  She keeps me organized, motivated, and makes sure I stick to my core values. This is a tremendous asset in our business and always keeps me centered on God.  I would not be where I am today without God, her and the support of my loving family.

I was raised in North Eastern Ohio and I moved to Nashville in 1999.  I had worked in office settings as Office Manager for years.  I also volunteered and worked with victims of domestic violence, the homeless, helping those who were overcoming drug and alcohol abuse and those who were down on their luck.  I helped them receive job training, get into college, find housing and more.  When I moved to Nashville, I stepped into Ministry doing the things I loved, helping people. It also included starting food pantries, clothing rooms, and holiday food boxes along with gifts.  I have over 20 years of experience in these areas.

In 2012, I met Steve.  I hated being tied to a desk so I decided to try working at Publix.  My intention was to stay there for 6 months but it ended up being 3 years.  However, it was worth it as I met Steve there. I, like you, had heard bad things about contractors so I was skeptical when he asked me out.  However, I took a chance and learned that he was completely different. I was single a long time and was not willing to settle as I had learned the hard way. After a long courtship, we were married in 2014 and he has forever changed my life in a good way.  I am truly grateful for this amazingly, wonderful man. He has shown me that there are good men out there.

I started helping him in the office getting organized.  Then I realized that customers were getting stressed over all the decisions they needed to make for their renovations.  Steve and I decided to offer a service in which I go shopping with the clients and help them with the design process making it easier for them.  I love shopping and always look for deals as well as getting to know people.  This service has afforded me the opportunity to do all of the above.  I am now the In-house Design Consultant and I am extremely grateful to be a part of the process.
